In 1918, when Edith Clarke graduated from MIT’s Electrical Engineering Department, she likely had no idea that she was making history. She forged a path for women in a field traditionally monopolized by men. Women globally seized the chance with enthusiasm, not just embracing but also mastering technology across various domains, including marine and space technology.
On this International Women’s Day, we aim to honor women in technology by spotlighting the invaluable contributions of our dynamic ‘she-brigade’ at Livegage. We take immense pride in having these enthusiastic young women on board as pioneers of the technological revolution poised to disrupt the status quo of the mortgage servicing sector, ushering in a new era defined by innovation and creativity.
We sought insights from Livegage’s young women in the tech field, delving into their aspirations and the inspirations that drive them, seeking to capture a glimpse of their passion and vision.
For Isha Mehta, one of our youngest team members, pursuing a career in technology represented an entry into a realm of boundless possibilities. Her optimistic perspective leads her to view every challenge as a chance for growth and innovation.
Isha holds the belief that with ever-evolving technologies such as AI and IoT, we have the potential to forge a brighter future for humanity and streamline our daily lives. Isha envisions leveraging AI to alleviate traffic congestion. Her proposal involves employing AI to tailor the timing of traffic signals based on traffic density. During off-peak hours, the AI could adjust signal durations, effectively reducing vehicle wait times at each intersection.
With Livegage’s culture of nurturing talent and innovation, Isha feels empowered and free to express her ideas and opinions. The steadfast backing from both superiors and colleagues has provided her with the encouragement she sought at the outset of her career. She aspires to motivate young girls to pursue careers in technology, encouraging them to push their boundaries and explore the myriad opportunities within the tech industry beyond coding.
Jenny Menghani has been an integral part of Livegage, contributing significantly with her enthusiasm for tackling challenges, driven by curiosity and a determination to lead innovations. Jenny firmly believes that in the realm of technology, the most valuable asset is not the hardware or software employed but rather the skills and creativity of the programmer.
“In envisioning a better future, I am keen to explore and leverage artificial intelligence to revolutionize the healthcare industry, personalizing patient care, optimizing the traditional techniques and treatments that can significantly enhance outcomes on a global scale,” Jenny passionately shares her vision.
We need women at all levels, including the top, to change the dynamic, reshape the conversation, to make sure women's voices are heard and heeded, not overlooked and ignored.

Sangeeta Gole, a project manager at Livegage, fondly recalls the early 2000s when women comprised just 9 percent of the tech workforce. Opting for a career in technology after graduating in computer science from a government college was her sole choice at the time. She considers herself fortunate to have witnessed groundbreaking technological advancements, from dial-up internet and bulky desktops to today’s 5G-6G smartphones equipped with cutting-edge AI tools like Chat GPT and Google Gemini.
While Sangeeta has navigated industry challenges successfully, she acknowledges that it can be more daunting for women to stay abreast of changes if they take breaks to care for children or families. She commends Livegage’s inclusive culture and attributes her success to the unwavering support and encouragement from team members and superiors. In her view, women should strive to understand their strengths and champion each other, fostering broader innovation, improved decision-making, and collective success for the greater good.
Sonam Naik, a vibrant young member of the Livegage team, firmly believes that technology holds the key to addressing some of the world’s most pressing issues, spanning healthcare, education, sustainability, and social justice. She asserts that women in the tech industry have the power to enact real change in society by crafting solutions that enhance quality of life and foster positive transformation.
Drawing inspiration and motivation from Livegage’s supportive policies like flexible work schedules and remote work opportunities, she emphasizes the importance of young girls seeking out and conquering smaller challenges within their field. Whether it’s completing a coding project, triumphing in a robotics competition, or securing an internship, she encourages them to celebrate every success, no matter how modest, while striving for a balanced work-life integration.
Apurva Joshi Vyas, a team leader at Livegage and a mother of a young child, exhibits remarkable enthusiasm and dedication. She draws inspiration from the vision of utilizing technology to discover better solutions that assist mothers in enhancing the education, safety, and health of their children. Apurva advocates for increased involvement of women in projects that have a lasting impact on society.
Despite being introduced to technology later in life, Apurva believes that introducing coding and technical subjects at a young age through engaging activities can foster interest among young girls. Additionally, she suggests that offering free sessions, technology clubs, coding camps, and workshops can facilitate learning and skill development for girls, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, in the domain.
Ritika Bundela, a seasoned software engineer at Livegage, remains dedicated to refining her skills by embracing change and staying abreast of emerging technologies. She envisions leveraging technology to create a sophisticated software tool empowered by AI, capable of autonomously reviewing, optimizing, and suggesting enhancements to code. She believes this approach can significantly accelerate the development process and elevate code quality.
While Ritika values the supportive and nurturing work environment at Livegage, she recognizes that not all girls have the privilege and opportunity to pursue their passions. She encourages young girls to explore technological avenues that align with their skill sets and to persevere in nurturing their passions despite any obstacles they may encounter.
As Livegage delves deeper into technological innovations, we recognize and value the contributions of all individuals, particularly women, who share our dedication to our objectives. Despite facing unforeseen and formidable challenges, women have persevered and flourished in a domain that can be both daunting and demanding.
